Pocket journal
I attended a bookbinding workshop a couple of weeks ago. I've always been interested in bookbinding, but I've never gotten around to actually trying it, so when I saw the listing in the Communiversity catalog, I figured this was my opportunity. I am pleased to say that it completely exceeded my expectations. The convener was organized, patient, answered every question, and provided some of the best written instructions I've ever had the good fortune to receive. I can recommend his classes without reservation.
You can't see it in the pictures, but the pages are hand sewn, and it has a hard cover.

I've been carrying it around in my bag but I haven't actually written anything in it. Maybe when I make another it won't seem so daunting, or perhaps I'll just hold onto this one as a prototype.




Holy smokes! I knew it would be great but I wasn't expecting anything this fabulous! Wow. That is seriously cool.
